Saida Noor: Hello, my name is Saida Noor. I am a freshman in college and I am taking US Government during my first semester. “The Political Typology Quiz” I took online suggested that I was best fist as a Solid Liberal. Many of the questions included in the quiz pertained to me as an African American Muslim. Throughout my life I have protested in many different protests including: Gay Rights Movement, Palestine Occupation, Black Lives Matter, and protests against Islamophobia. During my high school years I was part of the Austin Youth Council where I represented my high school, alongside another student. In this program we met twice a week, with high school students from all around the Austin community, to acknowledge problems in City of Austin to address to the Mayor of Austin. My main reason for taking this class is to extend my knowledge about the American Government to understand why certain things happen. I would also like to learn my rights as an American Citizen. I received a 90% on the “Civic Literacy Quiz” and a 11 out of 12 on the “Current Event Quiz.”
